Scanwiches
Aren't sandwiches just the best food ever? That might make Scanwiches the best website ever. People scan their sandwich and share what's on it. I've got at least a dozen recipes I want to try now.

5 Things Hollywood Thinks Computers Can Do
"Has your mom ever called in a panic, saying the computer was displaying a weird error message and that she hurried and unplugged it just to be safe--and then dunked it in the bathtub so it wouldn't burn the house down? It makes you realize that, to some people, a computer is still a terrifying box of mysteries. Well, we think Hollywood writers have those people in mind when they portray laptop computers doing everything short of blowing up the moon."

Painter of Crap
I once was almost asked to leave a Thomas Kinkade gallery that I'd been dragged in to when I referred to the artist as "The Painter of Crap," so naturally this story made me smile.

Gazette Cover

Dude! My article on urban gardening made the cover of the Oklahoma Gazette this month. For all you Nokies out there who can’t go pick up a copy of the Gazette when you go out for lunch today, you can read the article at the Gazette’s website.

Congratulations! And such a great topic also!!! Did you see all of our recent posts about our urban gardening on my blog? If we stayed in Austin we were starting a little urban farm with 3 friends here. Very VERY cool! Big congrats. I’m at work now but I can’t wait to read it!

So my husband has a habit of picking me up a Gazette whenever he sees one. Yesterday he brings one home, sets it down on the counter and says, “You know, you should water your bell peppers tonight. I was reading this article in your Gazette and the guy who wrote it said …” And I immediately stopped him and shouted, “MY FRIEND NATHAN WROTE THAT! THAT’S THE GUY YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT, ISN’T THAT COOL?!?!?” My husband looked at me with a face that fell somewhere between ‘I’ve married the biggest dork on Earth’ and ‘My wife has officially gone off the deep end’ and said, “That’s nice, honey. Don’t forget to water your plants.” :D

Congratulations! It was an excellent article and well deserving of the elusive Gazette cover.

Lo and I toasted to your success Friday with Thai food and really bad 3.2 beer. And then like a proud momma, she raided the newsstand of all its copies. I hope its just one of many of yours for the Gazette. Tim
