In St. Stephen’s Green, 1999

This is a photograph of me in St. Stephen’s Green over 9 years ago, in March 1999. Has it been that long since I first set foot in Ireland? Apparently it has. I’m thinking about it because last night Brian and I sat up with two of our best friends and plotted a trip for summer 2009 that would have us going back there, as well as to Prague and Venice. Concrete-ish plans were made, which is exciting, though nothing is by any means final. Still and all, it’s exciting to think that one day I’ll come back and stand in this same spot again, though with much better hair and less-baggy clothes.

It’s odd…you look like you have a rack in this picture…however, I think it’s just an unfortunate side effect of a horizontal stripe across your shirt. LOL!
I wanna go to Ireland! Can I hide in your handbag?

I have absolutely no response whatsoever to that comment, except just to say, it was the 90’s, I was 18 and had very little fashion sense.

Who are you going with? When? I’d love to go to Ireland someday. Eric and I definitely plan on making a trip someday. We talked about this summer, but financially that was just not possible. I’m jealous

Hey Tish, you & Jon should come along for this excursion. You could help me show everyone around Eire. We could go play Playstation with “The Lads” in Waterford and raise a glass at the Oliver St. John Gogarty pub in Temple Bar. Seriously, think about it.
