Never Gonna Give You Up

Did you know that the Internet was invented at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)? I found that out this weekend whilst reading this amazing article in National Geographic titled "The God Particle." Today CERN is home to one of the world’s largest particle accelerators, but I like to think that when they were inventing the Internet, this was exactly the kind of thing they had in mind:

    wow…unlimited and instantaneous communication, data storage, and processing power from anywhere in the world, and this is what we do with it….it’s the INTERNET, ladies and gentlemen!!!!

    you know, as an additional thought, the individual who made this video should know that regardless of their sincere and noble intentions in choosing this particular song, their desire to “never give you up” might be a moot point in the end. Sadly, it seems sometimes our choices get made for us…
