A bazillion years ago, right when she was on the cusp of fame, I heard her sing Carmen. There was a big announcement about how she was very sick and her voice would not be up to par, but she was, of course, phenomenal. (Maybe she wasn’t sick at all…)

Kathleen Battle, whose voice I always adored, practically got herself blackballed for her high-handedness. Diva is one thing; raving bitch is quite another. Sounds like Graves is heading down the same road.
